SVP of Sales and Marketing

The Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing reports to the CEO and is a member of the company’s executive team. He/she is responsible for the direction and management of all sales, marketing and business development operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, compensation, and distribution and channel marketing strategy. The SVP of Sales & Marketing will drive the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements sales strategy including tactics, pitch scripts, target markets, and segmenting customers.
- Establishes sales targets to achieve company objectives.
- Builds an InfoMC sales, marketing and business development team to drive sales goals.
- Generates a robust sales pipeline.
- Works with Design and Operations to address feature gaps.
- Assists the sales team as needed in closing deals.
- Collaborates with financial staff of budget, sales projections and performance.
- Represents the firm with prospects, clients, investors, and business partners.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience managing complex sales cycles from start to finish, with a track record of successful revenue attainment in healthcare.
- Must have successfully sold enterprise software applications and solutions to healthcare payors such as health plans, MCO’s, health systems, large provider practices and states & counties.
- Prior experience in enterprise business application sales, preferably in ERP, core system, or SaaS applications.
- 5+ years’ experience in consultative sales working with large national clients.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively deliver presentations to internal and external groups.
- Strong knowledge of Managed Care Insurer Market Industry with emphasis on Public Sector populations such as Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Dual, SNP and the uninsured.
- Experience translating analysis and consumer feedback into product development specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in business, or related field; Master's preferred.
- Ability to build long-term relationships.
- Strong organizational, planning, presentation and time management skills.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Experience working in a software business environment (SaaS).
- The ability to stay focused and productive in a fast paced and changing environment is critical.
- Ability to approach challenges with an entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to be nimble and flexible.
- Extensive travel required.
