Finance, Population Health & Managed Care Executives Expand Market Scope

With distinguished careers and accomplishments in the fields of venture capital, population health, and managed care, InfoMC is pleased to welcome John Martinson, David Nash, and John Tadich to the boardroom.

John Martinson founded Edison Partners (edisonpartners.com), a venture capital firm focused on growth-stage technology companies located in the eastern United States, in 1986 and remained at the helm until 2013 and continues to serve as General Partner for Edison I-VII. John has been a venture capitalist for 37 years and is former Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association (nvca.org). He is co-founder and former chairman of the New Jersey Technology Council and former chairman of PACT (previously Greater Philadelphia Venture Group). John is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Purdue University, and Southern Illinois University with degrees in Aeronautical Engineering, Astronautics, and Business Administration. He has received honorary doctorates from Rider and Rowan Universities.

 

David Nash, M.D., is Dean of the Jefferson School of Population Health in Philadelphia (jefferson.edu) where he oversees an innovative educational programs in Public Health, Healthcare Quality and Safety, Health Policy, Applied Health Economics, and Population Health Science. Dr. Nash is a board-certified internist internationally recognized for his work in both the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors. He is currently on the HIMSS Board of Managers, the VHA Center for Applied Healthcare Studies Advisory Board, the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE), the NQF task force or Improving Population Health, the AAMC-IQ Steering Committee, and the Technical Advisory Group of the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Group (HC4). Widely published and a popular presenter at healthcare conferences around the world, Dr. Nash writes for MedPage Today and maintains the blog, “Nash on the Road.” He has repeatedly been named to Modern Healthcare’s list of Most Powerful Persons in Healthcare.

 

John Tadich most recently was Executive Vice President and President of the public sector division for ValueOptions (valueoptions.com). In this capacity, he had management oversight for 13 state programs that provide behavioral health services for Medicaid and indigent populations. John oversaw the executives heading each state engagement center and collaborates on strategies, program development, budgets and client relations. Mr. Tadich has more than 30 years’ experience in managed health care and has worked in all segments of the market including commercial programs, health plans, Medicare and Medicaid. He has been particularly active in the behavioral health aspects of health care systems for the past 20 years. Prior to joining ValueOptions®, Inc., Mr. Tadich was Executive Director for United Healthcare’s Medicare Operations in northern California. He also served as the President and CEO of United Behavioral Health for seven years.

 

The five-member board is rounded out by long-time board member, Don Gleklen, a strategic business advisor and private investor with extensive experience as a senior corporate executive, banker and lawyer. Mr. Gleklen has served on the Board of Directors for many public and private companies, including 18 years with HMO of Pennsylvania, the largest subsidiary of US Healthcare. He was also Chairman and CEO of InteliHealth, Inc., a leading consumer internet healthcare company and joint venture of Aetna US Healthcare and Johns Hopkins Health System. Mr. Gleklen is currently a Director and member of the Executive Committee of Firstrust Bank, a $3 Billion bank headquartered in Philadelphia.
