InfoMC CEO Commits to 250-mile Charity Bike Ride Challenge for WIN
Efforts support service delivery of Women In Need
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA. – February 28, 2019
InfoMC, a national healthcare technology company delivering integrated care management and population health solutions to payers, health plans and provider organizations, is pleased to announce that its Chairman and CEO, JJ Farook, will participate in the 3rd annual Riders for Charity event. The objective of the bike ride is to raise funds to aid Women In Need (WIN). WIN is a charitable organization in Sri Lanka working towards the prevention of violence against women and children.
In Sri Lanka, three out of five women are victims of domestic violence. WIN, founded in 1987, provides essential crisis intervention services to victims of violence and helps women who are debilitated by their situations to be strong, independent and protected. WIN is highly active across the country and is driven by the passion to strengthen and protect victims dealing with violence and abuse, ensuring strict confidentiality of identity while also striving to ensure that the violence is not repeated, and the victims’ rights are protected. WIN’s services include legal aid services, psychological counseling, victim shelters, intervention services and livelihood centers. WIN’s efforts also include a focus on the community, educating and sensitizing men and women, teenage girls and boys, and school students, in order to help them understand the need for a gender equal society. For more information on WIN, please visit https://www.winsl.net/.
“Ride for WIN 2019 is going to help raise awareness of the injustices of women and children in Sri Lanka and help make a difference in the lives of those who have been affected.” said Mr. Farook. “InfoMC has a strong commitment to contribute to the wellness of others through the services that we provide and by leading through example.” Farook said.
The cross-country charity ride will take place from February 28th to March 3rd, expanding over 250 miles in 4 days, with stops in Puttalam, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and Batticaloa. The fundraising event will help WIN pay for the necessary changes designed to strengthen and enhance its operations. For more information, please visit http://ridersforcharity.com/.
