June 4, 2012 – Conshohocken PA – InfoMC, a leading provider of process improvement technology for healthcare organizations, is pleased to announce the engagement of Allen Daniels, Ed.D., a highly-respected healthcare consultant and researcher with an extensive background in managed behavioral healthcare, health services and health policy, quality and outcomes, and consumer advocacy and peer support, as Clinical Director.
Dr. Daniels will provide InfoMC with advice and assistance in a number of areas including organizational and industry strategy, product development, and customer support. He has been an important participant in the development of the technical framework – how technology moves information among, interacts with, and supports all the participants in the continuum of care – for the InfoMC chronic care coordination, peer health coaching, and EAP/work-life solutions. Additionally, he will direct the company’s national program of education and leadership to help InfoMC customers and healthcare organizations throughout the industry realize the successful outcomes of accountable care, evidence-based treatment, and integration and exchange across all systems of care.
InfoMC CEO JJ Farook says Dr. Daniels’ affiliation with InfoMC signals the company’s growing footprint in the commercial and public sector healthcare markets for collaborative process management technology. “Allen is one of the country’s best-known authorities and researchers for behavioral health and primary care integration, chronic care management, and cost containment. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to incorporating even more of his unique understanding and insight into the full complement of InfoMC solutions,” he said.
Dr. Daniels is very pleased to be working with InfoMC as well. “JJ and his team are widely recognized as innovators and premier solutions developers. InfoMC was doing care-coordination and health information exchange long before they became the ubiquitous buzzwords of today. I am honored to contribute to the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of the InfoMC and Incedo products.”
In addition to his association with InfoMC, Dr. Daniels also provides consultation and leadership in a number of other roles and endeavors. He serves on the National Advisory Committee for SAMHSA’s Center for Mental Health Services and Consumer Survivor Advisory Sub-committee. He is a long-time member of ACHMA: The College for Behavioral Health Leadership and has twice served as Chairman of the Board for the American Managed Behavioral Healthcare Association (now: Association for Behavioral Health and Wellness). He is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Cincinnati, Ohio, and writes and lectures frequently on a variety of healthcare policy, practice, and research topics.
Dr. Daniels was the founder and CEO of Alliance Behavioral Care, a managed behavioral healthcare organization associated with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he also served as a Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and Public Health Sciences. He is widely published in the field of behavioral health policy, quality improvement, integration with primary care, peer support, and person-centered care. He was a key contributor to three Institute of Medicine reports on the integration and coordination of behavioral health and primary care and quality outcomes.
